The property is located on the boundary of Chevin Forest www.chevinforest.co.uk
Chevin Forest is situated about 9 miles north-west of the centre of Leeds, overlooking the historic market town of Otley. It consists of 180 hectares of woodland, heathland and grassland with massive rock outcrops towering above the surrounding landscape. Surprise View is recognised as being the finest panaromic views in Yorkshire, with views of up to 40 miles across the Wharfe Valley. Open all year, with no entrance charge, a day out at Chevin Forest offers a wonderful countryside experience and is very popular for walking, running, rock climbing, horse riding or simply enjoying the great outdoors. There is a permanent orienteering course. The park is criss-crossed by paths but is on a steeply sloping escarpment that rises to 280 meters above sea level - so some parts of the site may be challenging for some walkers. However there are flatter pathways accessible for all terrain pushchairs. Picnic tables can be found at various locations. Flagstones are provided on the ground next to some of the tables for dispoable barbeques.
