The Birches is a well appointed detached period property offering spacious well planned self catering accomodation for up to twelve people. Located in the Wharfedale Valley, over looking the market town of Otley and surrounding area the property is well placed for those who like to visit the Yorkshire Dales and local tourist attractions. Set within a stones through of Chevin Forest (www.chevinforest.co.uk) the property and surrounding area provides plenty of facilities for those who love the great outdoors.

The house is available for full weeks and short breaks throughout the year, our weeks run from Friday 3.00pm - Friday 10.00am.
Located nine miles northwest of Leeds and twelve miles south of Harrogate (www.harrogate.gov.uk/harrogate-266) The Birches offers an ideal touring base for those wishing to explore the Yorkshire Dales and historic Bronte Country. The market town of Otley has a host of facilities from Supermarket to twice weekly markets offering local fresh produce. Less than five minutes by car from Leeds Bradford airport, and just half an hour from Leeds connections to M1/M62 the property is well supported by the local transport infrastructure. For those who prefer to travel by train or plane a collection service is available by prior arrangement. A car is not essential for your stay within the property if you are happy to take in the National Park that surrounds the property and if thats not enough then the market town of Otley is only a 10 minute walk away. Please be aware the property has exceptional views over the Wharfe Valley...but to get views like this involves being on the peak of a hill...therefore those coming without cars will have to walk the hill to the house from Otley. 
The Birches was completely renovated inside during 2006, the property now benefits from a neutral decor and has been tastefully furnished to enable our guests to relax during their time in the property. We have furnished the property to be as much in the way as a home from home.
